Question asked: Hi: I have a DOORKING 8081-010 copyright 2002 control. I believe it operates our Chamberlain garage opener. But, it might operate our driveway Mighty Mule gate opener. However, even though the control powers or lights up neither the garage door or the driveway gate respond ...even though in close proximity. The battery is good I believe as I switched it with another and it operated (worked) the other control. Has the code gotten off somehow? If so, can it be reset by me? The Mighty Mule driveway gate opener uses dipswitch codes I can adjust or reset. I'm not sure about the Chamberlain garage opener coding method as I have only used the car control which was set electronically. Appreciate your help. Dave

This is an old obsolete remote and I don't have a manual for it for programming it. The manufacturer, DoorKing may be able to assist you with that.

Hi there, and thank you for reaching out to us! You can order these remotes two different ways. One being what we call "random". Meaning they already have a predetermined Facility Code and sequence of numbers. The second is with "special programming". That's when the customer provides us with the specific Facility Code and a starting sequence number. DoorKing will program the information the customer has provided into the remotes. They do charge a fee for that, and it is $2.97 per remote.
